More Latin@ Bloggers Post on #ACA: Time’s Running Out, Enroll Now!

“When you have your health, you have everything. When you do not have your health, nothing else matters at all.” ~ Augusten Burroughs, Dry

Chances are, you have not read Mr. Burroughs’ poignant account of alcoholism and the deterioration of his health. Yet chances are, you know someone who has battled with disease, with a preexisting condition, or with a sudden unexpected hit to our salud. And we all know how hard it can be when you have to deal with an illness or health situation when you don’t have health insurance. Why do that to yourself or your family?

Last week, some of my favorite Latina Bloggers sent in their beautiful stories of finally getting Obamacare coverage and testing out the Asegura Tu Salud and Health Law Helper from Consumer Reports en Español. With the Affordable Care Act looming (this coming Monday!), even more bloggers came out to share their stories this week! This time, though, their message is all about making the deadline: TIME’S RUNNING OUT, and they won’t let you forget it!

Read their stories below… And make sure you take a look at the resources Secretary Sebelius shared with myself and some of these awesome Latina Bloggers during our Google chat earlier this week. Lots of great resources and information there!

Remember, you can’t take your or your family’s health for granted. Without it, as Burroughs said, NOTHING else matters. Or as la Abuela would say: Si no tienes salud, no tienes NADA.
