The Border Kids’ Relief & Volunteer Drive project is a partnership between the Dolores Huerta Foundation, Speak Hispanic Communications and the blog Family is Familia.
The donations and volunteer plan will include:
- An extensive online and social media outreach campaign to collect donations and engage volunteers
- Localized collection and distribution of donations of the following items:
- Clothing
- Small Sized Underwear
- Sippy Cups
- Pedialyte
- Sanitary Supplies
- Toiletries
- Other Items
- A volunteer trip by a committee of representatives from the partner organizations to serve at the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley
- Coordinated local volunteer efforts engaging bloggers and social influencers from around the country
As our receiving partners, the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley and the Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley will accept all donations as follows:
